W01 – Buddha Bathing Pool Offering 殊胜浴佛池供养 24May26

◈ 我今灌沐诸如来，净智庄严功德海。五浊众生离尘垢，同证如来净法身。

▶ 功德
《浴佛功德经》云：“浴像乃诸供养中最为第一，胜以恒河沙等七宝布施。浴佛能感得现受富乐，无病延年；于所愿所求，无不遂意；亲友眷属，悉皆安稳。 ”
🌸 供养浴佛池殊胜行，令无量有情藉此机缘培福，得三宝摄受加持，功德无量。

《佛说温室洗浴众僧经》记载，由供养浴池之殊胜功德，施主将获七大福：
一、四大无病，居处安稳，勇武健康。
二、出生清净，容貌端正，尘垢不沾。
三、身体芬香，衣服洁净，见者欢喜。
四、肌体润泽，光明威德，人人敬叹。
五、除人尘垢，自然受福，得宿命通。
六、口齿香好，洁白齐平，说话人人听受。
七、自然获得衣服、庄严光亮的严饰、珠玉珍宝。

▶ 福利
万福佛学院（槟城分院）将在24/5/2026于共和小学举办的卫塞庆典为施主在其中一个浴佛池旁设置【祈福牌卡】。

▶ 法会功德回向
“佛光普照加持，消灾解难除业障，身心安康勇健，长寿无病延年，合家平安吉祥，事业顺遂无忧，生生值遇三宝，学修圆满正法，一切善愿悉皆成办。”

Auspicious Bathing Pool Offering
◈ Verse for Bathing the Buddha
I now bathe all Tathāgatas,
Adorning the ocean of pure wisdom and merit.
May beings of the Five Defilements be freed from impurities,
And together realize the Tathāgata’s pure Dharma Body.

▶ Merits
The Sutra on the Merits of Bathing the Buddha states:
“Bathing the Buddha image is the foremost among all offerings, surpassing even the offering of countless treasures equal to the sands of the Ganges. Through bathing the Buddha, one gains present-life blessings, wealth, and joy, freedom from illness, and longevity. All wishes and aspirations are fulfilled, and family members and loved ones will enjoy peace and stability.”
🌸 Offering the Buddha-bathing pool is a sublime deed that gives many a chance to plant seeds of fortune. Through the blessings of the Three Jewels, one attains limitless spiritual rewards.

The Sutra on Bathing the Sangha in the Warm Bathhouse records that, through the meritorious act of offering a bathing pool, the donor will obtain seven great blessings:
1. Freedom from illness, physical strength, stability, and well-being.
2. Pure rebirth, dignified appearance, and freedom from defilements.
3. A naturally pleasant fragrance, cleanliness, and being well-liked by others.
4. Radiant complexion, noble presence, and admiration from all.
5. Removal of impurities, natural enjoyment of blessings, and insight into past lives.
6. Pleasant speech, pure and even teeth, with words that are well received.
7. Natural abundance of clothing, adornments, and precious jewels.

▶ Benefits
On 24/5/2026, Penang Ban Foo Buddhist Organisation will place Blessing Cards beside one the Buddha-bathing pool on behalf of our donors during Wesak Carnival at SJK (C) Keong Hoe.
We pray that the Buddha’s light shines upon you; may you and your family be blessed with physical and mental well-being, the removal of obstacles, auspicious peace, and the growth of wisdom and merit, leading to the swift attainment of Buddhahood.”

▶ Dedication of Merits
“May the Buddha’s light universally shine and bestow blessings;
May calamities be dispelled, obstacles and karmic hindrances removed;
May body and mind be healthy and strong, with long life free from illness;
May the entire family enjoy peace and auspiciousness, and all undertakings proceed smoothly without worry;
May we encounter the Three Jewels life after life, perfectly learn and practice the true Dharma,
And may all virtuous aspirations be completely fulfilled.”
